What is the application process?

Once we have received your completed volunteer interest form for Dream Kids Zambia and your application has been approved, we will send you more information pertaining to your trip. Information on booking your flight. We will give you the contact information for the travel agent He Touched Me Ministries uses.

What does Volunteer mean?

Very few agencies can offer financial help for your mission trip. Being a volunteer means you will usually pay for your own way – food, accommodation, transportation, etc.

What will the education professionals do as part of this mission/outreach trip?

Volunteers will be working as educators, tutors, and mentors to students and orphans at Dream Kids Zambia

Are there deadlines for volunteers to apply for the mission?

Yes. Deadlines will be posted on the application forms based on the dates for the trips

Will I be responsible to pay for and make my own travel arrangements to and from the outreach country?


Will I be responsible for paying for my food, lodging and transportation?

Yes, unless you are staying for 6 months and more, accommodation will be provided. Otherwise, recommendations will be provided.

What other costs will I be responsible for?

Other than your own spending money, there are no other costs required.

Will I need a passport?

Yes, you will need a passport to travel to Zambia

Will I need a visa?

Yes, you will be responsible for obtaining the visa at your own expense. Instructions will be provided by He Touched Me Ministries upon acceptance.

Will I need vaccinations

Will I be insured if anything happens?

Travel health insurance should be purchased.

Will transportation be provided to and from the airport in the country where the outreach will take place?


Where will I be staying while on this mission trip?

All volunteers will be based in the capital of Zambia, Lusaka and will be doing daily outreaches at various locations.

Are scholarships available for me to pay for my trip cost?

Will I be sharing a room?

Yes, there is a possibility of you sharing a room where accommodation is provided. You will room with same gender volunteer with the exception of married couples and parent/child 18yrs and older

Who will be approved to volunteer for this mission trip?

Applications will be processed and approved based on how well your qualifications meet the need of the school outreached planned.

How will I know if my application has been approved?

Notification of whether or not your application has been approved will be sent via email.
